From the earliest days of archaeology in Egypt, the Valley of the Kings has exerted an irresistible attract. The infamous cemetery became the burial intention of royals for the period of the golden age of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties. Performed since now no longer lower than the early 1800s, excavations agree with published that loads of the rock-chop tombs within the attach were completely looted in antiquity. The one worthy exception—the four richly appointed chambers of King Tutankhamun Nebkheperure—yielded now no longer most attention-grabbing a sparkling trove of artifacts but a gaze of the country’s improbable wealth and custom for the period of the 14th century B.C.
